“My interest lies with colour and perspective which is an integral part of my work”.
I trained at Falmouth College of Arts, Cornwall where I studied Illustration. I now work from my studio at my home in Twyford, Berkshire. I work in oil, predominately on canvas and have been working in this way professionally for the past 15 years.
Over the years I have sold work regularly and have built a portfolio of paintings based on my experiences living in Bristol and the South -East. I seek inspiration from the Architecture and urban landscape as well as the waterways of the UK. I am fascinated by the change in light in our skies between dawn and dusk and how that effects the urban environment that punctures it. My paintings often highlight these moments of calm at either the beginning or the end of the day.
It’s these intense colours which form the base to my work. I enjoy creating representational work which is exaggerated through perspective and allows the viewer to take in a whole landscape that with the naked eye is just not possible. It’s these panoramas which excite me the most.

My venture into art started as a sideline to my work as a riding instructor. I was asked to draw the horses and pets of some of my clients. I very much enjoy capturing the animals personality in my portraits. Word spread amongst my clients and beyond and the number of requests I received for commissions grew. After going on safari last year I was inspired to branch out and draw other animals.
